I have been working with the dojo Toolkit for a couple of years and one of the things that I had to do was implement a RESTful class handler in PHP to support the ability to implement RESTful services.  In particular I wanted to use the which supported things like filtering, lazy loading, paging and several other advanced features and have implemented all those in my class.  It is written for PHP 5.3 or later (since it leverages namespaces) and I am making it available under the BSD license.  I also have just recently moved it to GitHub, so you can fork it to your hearts content.


In addition I do have a sort of example application working which combines Dojo and my classes available at kitsonk/examples.

  1. Do you have an example of how to use JsonRestStore with dojo enhanced datagrid with mysql database? I can display data using itemfilewritestore very easily, but am at a loss as to how to begin with JsonRestStore….

    This seems like a really brief and powerful rendition of REST for PHP. I’m having some difficulty implementing it. Any chance of a brief tutorial? How to make connections etc.


    1. Yes, I am working on a tutorial. First I am contributing one to the to the toolkit that will become part of the official reference guide, and then I will work on a specific code example. Hopefully just a day or two, depending upon my spare time at hand.
